Preview: Rangers Look to Take Commanding Lead Over Penguins

48 hours after winning Game 1, the Rangers will look to take a commanding 2-0 series lead over the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 2 of the Metropolitan Division Semi-Finals on Saturday night.

Neither team has made any personnel changes from Game 1, meaning that the lineups should start like this tonight:

Rangers:

  • Nash-Brassard-Zuccarello
  • Kreider-Stepan-Miller
  • Hagelin-Hayes-St.Louis
  • Glass-Moore-Fast
  • McDonagh-Girardi
  • Staal-Boyle
  • Yandle-Hunwick

Penguins:

  • Winnik-Crosby-Hornqvist
  • Kunitz-Malkin-Perron
  • Bennett-Sutter-Downie
  • Spaling-Lapierre-Comeau
  • Martin-Lovejoy
  • Scuderi-Cole
  • Dumoulin-Chorney

As expected, Henrik Lundqvist will face off against Marc-Andre Fleury in net.

Since Game 1 ended, Alain Vigneault has turned the Penguins’ physical play, especially around Lundqvist and his crease, into a talking point, a sentiment the Penguins unsurprisingly¬†don’t agree with. Expect this to remain a narrative/story line not only tonight, but for the rest of the series.

Game time is 8 PM eastern on NBC.
